The Woman Behind

I'm Fiona
Ordinarily, I would probably say something like ‘I’m really excited you are here!’
But, considering the subject matter, there is always the possibility that you are here because you or someone you care about has cancer. Which isn’t exciting at all.
If that is the case then you are so welcome and I hope that this blog provides some respite for you. If you are here because you are simply interested, then you are totally welcome too!
I originally started this blog as a secret Facebook Page back in the day when they existed, until I realised, admittedly with some persuasion, that others may find what I have to say interesting or indeed helpful.
This is however, my journey and no two cancer journeys are exactly the same, whatever similarities appear on the surface.
It is not a delicate blog or advice or suggestions. It is raw and sarcastic; sometimes melancholy sometimes humorous. Much like myself!
I love writing this blog for many reasons. I find it cathartic; it clarifies a lot of what I am feeling but somehow can’t say out loud, and I get to post pictures of whatever I want – who wouldn’t want that!
